Mac and cheese always goes so amazingly well with BBQ food. Some of my favorite mac and cheese recipes have come from BBQ restaurants. Most of us grew up eating it as kids, whether from the box or from grandma's oven, and we still love that creamy, cheesy goodness today. Let's face it, mac and cheese is a comfort food that seems to always put a smile on our faces.

Stir until cheese is melted and sauce has thickened.

Rich, creamy restaurant-style mac and cheese made in an Instant Pot pressure cooker. Remove lid once pressure has come down. Drain excess water off of cooked noodles. Add noodles back into pot and hit the saute function.

When cooking time is done, do a quick pressure release. Secure lid on Instant Pot and cook on manual high for 4 minutes. What Ingredients are in Instant Pot Macaroni & Cheese?

Add noodles, water, and salt to Instant Pot. Just boil and drain the noodles as usual and then add all ingredients to the pot over medium/low heat until melted and creamy.

Pair it with a green vegetable or salad and you're good to go, or even throw in some frozen peas with the noodles as they cook to add a little color and nutrition.

Don't have an Instant Pot? You can easily convert this recipe to stove top. If you want a little extra protein in your diet (like me), then you can add diced ham, bacon, or smoked sausage to make this a more complete meal. It makes the perfect filling meal in a hurry.

I love this recipe because it's quick, easy, and full of cheesy flavor. It tastes great, and you could even use whole wheat macaroni noodles for a healthier version.
